It’s 2015! I hope you survived last night’s festivities with no ill effects. We managed to see the old year out and the new year in, but not much past that. Had some of my favorite party stuff…. Nacho cheese Doritos and bean dip and eggnog and Barcardi. Let me tell you, after so long between New Year’s celebrations (I “skipped” last year), my partying form is off. But that’s OK. I’m thankful just to have been ABLE to have some fun.
It was basically pretty quiet around here as the new year began. We heard some distant fireworks at midnight, and sure missed Dick Clark doing the countdown as the ball dropped in New York. We tried to find some local Kansas City celebration on TV, but there weren’t any.. Why not?
I wanted to do a New Year’s Day birdcount, as I have done in the past. But it was too easy. So far, at 3 pm, I’ve seen 1 Downey Woodpecker. That’s it. Maybe it’s too cold for them today.
I hope you have some great plans for the new year. I do. I’ve got a lot of ideas for future post here. Some of them include:
- History of Roosterville
- Organic gardening info
- Grassfed meat info
- Pen reviews (Lamy, Parker, Waterman, Sheiffer…to name a few)
- Music reviews (probably more “oldies” than new)
- Vintage audio
- Modern audio
- Books
- Planners
- Birding
- Chickens
- Toys
- 60’s & 70’s nostalgia
- Alternative energy
- Survival
- Homesteading
- Who knows what else? (I’m rather eclectic you know.)
I hope you’ll find some things of interest as the year moves on.
So once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
May 2015 bring you health, happiness, and the realization of dreams!
