It’s cold and snowy today. The birds are hitting the feeders like panicked shoppers at the grocery store. It’s a lot of fun to watch their antics as they stock up in preperation for the storm. I guess they haven;t heard the weatherman, who says we will only get an inch or so of the white stuff.
So far today, I’ve seen:
- Cardinals (male and female)
- House Sparrows
- Juncos
- Chickadees
- Nuthatches
- Red Bellied Woodpecker
- Flicker’Blue Jay
- Downey Woodpecker
- Harris Sparrow
- Blue Jay
I love being able to sit here on a snowy day with a hot cup of coffee and watch the birds just a few feet away. It’s very calming and peaceful. I hope you get moments like this often.
